Memory #13
➠ Memory #13: ☆ "Back off, Azula!" [Note: About almost losing his uncle ↔ Episode 2x08] (Significant Negative)
[Won in Game #139 (Sharable: 2/6)]
What he remembered/learned:
There are a lot of confusing feelings along with a strong determination at the start of the memory. It's not there, but it's obvious that Zuko also saw Appa's trail and hunted down Azula just to stop her from capturing Aang.
So basically, this memory starts with Zuko confronting his sister! Which is nothing new for him in Aather since he remembers Azula trying to kill him already, but this adds . . . well . . . his nickname. Zuzu. He's going to avoid telling people because it's worse than Ember or Zukash. :| SO THEY FIGHT, Zuko against his sister and Aang against both of them. Azula proves to be stronger than him in this memory and the only reason he's not finished is because Katara, Sokka and Toph also arrive to fight. At some point, his uncle gets there to help him out and they accidentally joins forces with Aang and the rest to win against her. Azula makes a point to comment on that, calling him and his uncle "traitors." She also surrenders, saying a princess surrenders with honor (pretty sure it's meant as a slap to Zuko's face).
Except Azula takes an opportunity shot lighting at her own uncle! Which is when Zuko is filled with horror and attacks Azula along with the rest. AZULA SOMEHOW GETS AWAY, Zuko sinks to his knees and looks devastated and screams at Aang and the rest to leave. That's when Toph notices that the man on the floor is the nice old man she met not so long ago and Zuko is left alone with his injured uncle.
What this means:
FAILURE AND GUILT AND EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE.
Iroh is almost like a father to him, so getting his memory back (even if he knows now that his uncle got hurt at some point) will be very painful for him for a lot of reasons, but mainly he'll feel responsible. That feeling is going to be present and it won't go away, even if he doesn't understand the reasons for feeling responsible yet. It'll also increase his tendency to react violently when something bad happens, but it's subtle and he already had the potential for that.
